When I started down this track I was confident I would be able to complete it and would end up with a lot of new knowledge. I did both. However, somewhere around day 40 I started to wane. I had a lot of real-life work piling up and was starting to fall behind on the challenge. I managed to refocus and push through. This happened again around day 80, but I was able to pull it together again and make a final push to day 100.
Paul Hudson will tell you to find a way to be held accountable during the challenge. I chose to post everything on Twitter and also uploaded all of my code/projects to GitHub. Paul also hosts his own Slack channel, so you can post about your progress there if you’re not so extraverted. The HackingWithSwift slack group is also a good place to discuss the projects and seek help when you’re struggling.
If you do take on the challenge, and I hope you do, be sure to support Paul’s work by picking up one of his great books. He gives away a ton of material all for free, so show some love.
