Hi, I am Shawn Bierman, an enthusiast photographer based in Collierville, Tennessee.

Photography has always been a joy for me.  But recently it has become more like an obsession.  When my son was born, I began taking an enormous amount of photographs of him.  However, they just didn’t seem to be as good as I thought he deserved.

So, I began to read everything I could on improving my photography skills.  I upgraded my camera, lenses, computer and software, just to get a little closer to a perfect photograph.  I learned more about framing the shot, lighting, depth-of-field, exposure, rule of thirds, sunny-16, and a bevy of other techniques.  I found simply taking more pictures yielded the best results overall–there is no substitute for experience.
