Passenger Car
Another image from the Collierville Town Square.
A restaurant opened up in this and the two adjacent cars a few years ago. It failed to stay open in the recent economy–the name escapes me.
I had taken a shot of this car with my iPhone and it turned out surprisingly well, so I thought I should try and get a better capture with my 40D. Both images are interesting to me. I particularly like the intense light sliding across the hull of the near car and the contrasting shadows that follow it diagonally toward the viewer.
I added a small amount of saturation to the image and it easily popped with this bronzy tone. The vignette I added later also enhanced this quality.
The Canon 24-70L f/2.8 lens I used is responsible for the strong sharpness in the foreground and the beautiful blur to the back.
